Deco 7 Dual-Band BE5000 WiFi 7 Mesh Wi-Fi System 4-Stream 5 Gbps, 240 Mhz

 About This Item :

  • Wi-Fi 7 Performance (BE5000): Dual-band total speeds up to ~5000 Mbps (4,324 Mbps on 5 GHz + 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Suitable for high-bandwidth activities like 4K/8K streaming and AR/VR gaming.
  • Coverage & Capacity: Covers up to 6,600 sq. ft. and supports 150+ connected devices. Fully expandable by adding additional Deco nodes.
  • Hybrid Backhaul: Combines Wi-Fi 7 wireless and 2.5G Ethernet wired backhaul simultaneously to maximize speed and stability between nodes (requires 2+ units).
  • AI-Driven Roaming: Automatically switches your mobile devices to the fastest Deco unit as you move around the house using a single network name (SSID).
  • Security & Features (TP-Link HomeShield): Built with "Secure-by-Design" principles (CISA pledge). Includes basic network security scanning, IoT identification, parental controls, QoS (traffic prioritization), and weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Setup & Control: Configured and managed entirely via the Deco Mobile App.

Key Requirements & Things to Consider

  • Separate Modem Required: This unit is a router/mesh node, not a modem/ONT. You will still need an internet modem provided by your ISP.
  • Multiple Units Needed for Backhaul: Features like Ethernet/Wireless backhaul require at least a 2-pack or 3-pack setup.
  • Real-World Speeds: Actual speeds and coverage will depend on wall thickness, layout obstacles, and distance.
  • Advanced Security Subscription: While basic HomeShield security features are free, advanced protection features require a paid subscription.
